I speak English and Spanish, and have worked in both the public and private sectors as a Technical Writer for big shipping, a Proposal Writer in the pharmaceutical clinical trials industry, a Coordinator of International Relations for local government in Japan, and an Immigration Consultant in NYC serving richly diverse, multinational constituencies.
I've also written feature articles for the Rutland Herald and worked as a Paralegal in corporate litigation. I've addressed audiences ranging from dozens to thousands while living and working in Washington, D.C., Japan, New York City, and Vermont. Certification - I am a certified HIT Pro Workflow and Information Management Redesign Specialist (Certificate No. 246144804), and Implementation Support Specialist in Healthcare IT (Certificate No. 242752588).
The course of study leading to these certifications was sponsored and directed by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) of Health Information Technology at the Department of Health and Human Services, and scholarships funded by the federal HITECH Act and ARRA.

If Luck is where Opportunity meets Preparation, then I am a very lucky man.
For the past several years, I have been my own boss, writing technical documentation for interesting software and network projects. I work with smart people who are the designers, programmers, and network architects of the systems I am documenting. I have been working on the East Coast for clients located in the Midwest. My work encompasses systems analysis, usability analysis, software analysis.
I specialize in workflow analysis and technical writing. For several years, I've been fortunate to work on my writing projects from a blank slate, documenting applications and systems where no prior documentation existed. This has allowed me to work with a free hand, rather than editing or cleaning up someone else's work or document design. My documents include rich graphics, thorough cross-referencing, and exhaustive indexing. Comprehensiveness, exhaustiveness of information is the hallmark of my work.
I am always interested in hearing about new challenges and opportunities. I enjoy working in creative, project-driven team environments where I use my abilities to contribute essentially and substantially toward the principal goals of the operation.
